AttractionsLanzarote has a host of things to do whether you want to have a fun day out or take a look at the islands culture, here are just a few things that the island has to offer.
Timanfaya National Park Lanzarote like all of the Canary Islands has some stunning landscape including Los Montanas del fuego (Fire Mountains) consisting of more than 200sq km of volcanoes and lava fields creating a barren but yet spectacular landscape. Many films have been filmed in this area due to its “Luna” landscape. A visit to this national park is highly recommended and well worth renting a car.
Rancho Texas Park What a Day out, On offer are Birds of prey free flight shows, Crocodile shows, parrot shows, and there's a mock up Indian village and lagoon, canoe and pony rides, apparently an authentic goldmine (better get down there then!) small farm animals and a medicine man's cave - wild west Lanzarote style - kids love it. Also popular at Rancho Texas are the rip roaring Country and Western nights here, ideal for families as they're all inclusive. You can eat as much as you like from the BBQ, with flowing beer, sangria and soft drinks available all night accompanied by live music and cowboy, indian and saloon girl antics! There's a bouncy castle on for the kids too. Jameos del Agua Los Jameos del Agua, located in the north of the island, is one of seven Centers of Arts, Culture and Tourism of the Cabildo de Lanzarote. And is a series of natural forms by the artist César Manrique and aims to show visitors a space for contemplation of nature barely intervened by men. Los Jameos del Agua, like Cueva de los Verdes is Located in a Volcanic tunnel from the last eruption near the ocean.
